What a fun breakfast! I sliced up fresh and canned fruits and let the kiddos choose their own toppings for their oatmeal! They choose from fresh pears, apples, blueberries and strawberries and canned peaches, raisins and granola! It was a blast and each kid ate just about their entire bowl of food! I was going to tell the kids ‘you must pick two items’ but most kids picked 5-6! What wonderful eaters we have here.
Giving kids (healthy) choices at mealtime promotes lifelong good eating habits and allows children to feel important as they select their own food choices!
